Saxton Pond
Relax by the water at Saxton Pond
There are plenty of lovely spots for a rest around Saxton Pond. Look out for one of many seats located around the pond. You may see some bird life or have the chance to see some model boating.
You will also find the sculpture "Goddess of Flight" by artist Fiona Sutherland. The sculpture depicts a girl in a dress with fish on its skirt holding out a godwit.

Find the Saxton Pond
Saxton Pond is located between the Saxton Oval and Champion Green. The car park beside the pond is best accessed from the entrance off main road Stoke.
Please note that the Champion Road entrance is blocked just beyond the Velodrome, and doesn't have thoroughfare vehicle access to the northern areas and facilities of Saxton Field.
The pond is wheelchair accessible around most of the pond but not beside the sculpture.
