The Nelson American Football Club Inc (NAFC) was founded in 2015 and is affiliated with the governing national body, The New Zealand American Football Federation (NZAFF). NAFC operates as the first and currently only official American Football club in the Tasman region.
The Nelson representative team, known as The Nelson Honey Badgers, is one of the power houses for flag football in New Zealand. Their coaching staff have a wealth of experience and knowledge, resulting in some of the best technically skilled players in the country.
The Club currently caters to players aged 14 and up, both male and female, with further plans for junior and senior programs in the near future. NAFC also seek to expand and develop their relationships with clubs in other regions and are currently working with clubs all over the country to offer more games and opportunities to players.
